The dramatically shaped front that houses two deep, full-width drawers separated by a divider. The apron decorated with a central shell motif. Shaped walnut top and paneled sides. Standing on four curved legs with hoof feet. Carved all over with stylized shell, cartouche, acanthus and flower motifs. Handles and escutcheons in bronze.

Two keys and working locks.

This commode is based on a model created by Pierre Hache à Grenoble in 1730 / 1740.
