With a large flat fully upholstered backrest, curved and padded armrests, a generous seat with a wide apron and standing on four curved legs joined by a strut and end in scrolled toes. Carved all over in stylized shell, rococo, and foliage motifs.

Covered in a emerald green cut velvet fabric with floral and trellis design.

Early Louis XV period, circa 1740.

In very good condition overall. Structurally sound. Restorations and old signs of woodworm. Fabric in very good condition with minor signs of wear (recently re-done).

A lovely large and comfortable armchair that is very evocative of the early Louis XV period.
