The figure of a galloping horse, with head turned slightly to one side, ears forward, nostrils flared, mouth open, and eyes wide. Short peg tail. Sculpted in full round in pine wood with black metal eyes. Lovely proportions and expressive face. Soft and warm patina.

Solid and in good condition with its share of charming repairs, restorations, and damages. Rocking runners absent. Originally painted, it is now stripped.

This folk piece is so expressive and characterful, evoking the simple childhood play of a bygone era. A truly decorative item.
