Large Baroque sculpture of a winged cherub or putto, standing in a dynamic pose with arms outstretched and an upward gaze. Beautifully executed carving, capturing with life-like delicacy the expression, the pose, and the pudginess of the subject. Finished in polychrome paint in skin tones, rouge, red, blue and brown. The wings and the ribbon that drapes his chest and waist are gilt.
