Pair of Louis XV side chairs in carved and tan painted beechwood. Circa 1755. Curved, violin shaped back, broad seat, and lovely curving legs. Top rail, apron, knees and feet carved with stylized flower and trailing leaf motifs. Original paint, distressed, with a nice patina.
Woodwork is solid but show signs of wear and past damages (see pictures). To be re-upholstered.
