Façade with 2 drawers on the left, one wide drawer across the middle, and one deep, sectioned drawer on the right side with a façade imitating the 2 drawer left side. On 4 straight legs that terminate in lion paw feet.
Very beautiful and rich ornamentation of finely chased and gilded bronze all over, including stylized classical motifs with angels and women, cascading garlands of laurel, and architectural details. The 4 legs terminate in bronze lion-paw feet. Left and right sides include diamond-shaped bronze inlay. Back side of the desk mirrors the front side, with faux drawers and matching bronze work.
Original tooled leather top, beautifully restored. Slide out extensions on each side. 4 keys. Made around 1890.
