Carved and cream painted beechwood dining chairs. Shaped frame with carved twisted rope motif around seat back and apron. Flat (a la Reine) back ‘fer à cheval’. On 4 inverted, curved console legs. Newly upholstered in a green and cream patterned jacquard from Colony.
Based on a design by the celebrated 18th century Parisian menuisier George Jacob, these chairs were manufactured circa 1900.
The chairs are in excellent condition overall. Structurally sound. Wear and losses to paintwork. Newly upholstered.
